Karen Frey Davies Brown

My husband and I have lived in Historic Downtown Franklin for 30 years.

I grew up in the most creative atmosphere with teacher parents who were juried artists in painting, photography, sculpture, poetry, and recorded music. Oh, and my father was a renowned local wine maker, beekeeper, and belly dancer!!!!

I studied oil and acrylic under Beth Affolter and Dorsey McHugh locally. Also, I’m continually inspired by a host of creative friends.

Many of my best and most popular paintings have been pieces done in stages of grief. I’ve learned to channel these deep emotions, and more currently, hopeful, happy, and thankful feelings into my art.

My favorite saying is by Dr. Seuss.… "Don’t cry because its over, be happy because it happened."

Please contact me for details on these paintings including sizes and prices, OR if you are interested in a custom commission.
